Logitech announces G915 TKL Lightspeed Wireless RGB mechanical keyboard

Today, Logitech has announced the brand new G915 TKL Lightspeed Wireless RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard. It is a lengthy product name, but the feature list is excellent, offering the same core technologies found in the larger G915, all packed into a smaller tenkeyless form factor.

If you find yourself with no need for a numpad, wanting to save deskspace, or simply not wanting a bulky full-size keyboard, then TKL options are often the way to go. With the Logitech G915 TKL, you can enjoy wireless gaming freedom with up to 40 hours of battery life, all in one of the industry's thinnest keyboards to date.

As the name suggests, this version of the keyboard uses Logitech's praised LIGHTSPEED technology, delivering 1ms polling rate. If you turn the RGB lighting off, the battery life can be extended well beyond the rated 40 hours.

Of course, if you do want RGB, then it is there, complete with 16.8 million colors and customisation handled through the Logitech G HUB application, where you can adjust colours and effects to your liking.

The mechanical keys being used here are Logitech's own low-profile GL switches, with 25 percent faster actuation compared to 2.0mm in standard switches. There are three different options, GL Linear, which is the equivalent of a Cherry MX Red, GL Tactile, which is like a Cherry MX Brown or the GL Clicky, which is compared to a Cherry MX Blue.

The Logitech G915 TKL Lightspeed Wireless RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is launching in June 2020. In the US, suggested retail pricing is $229. We'll have to wait and see what that converts to here in the UK and the rest of Europe.

KitGuru Says: A clicky, wireless TKL mechanical keyboard sounds like the perfect thing for me, particularly as someone who regularly likes to switch from a smaller PC monitor to a larger TV. What do you all think of the G915 TKL from Logitech? Are any of you thinking about getting a new mechanical keyboard this year?
