ASUS Z490 motherboard line-up and UK pricing

Today, we finally saw performance testing and reviews unveiled for Intel's new 10th Generation Core-series desktop processors. This is also the launch day for Z490 motherboards. There are going to be a ton of options available, so in this article, we'll break down what ASUS has to offer, as well as launch pricing.

As you would expect, there will be a range of ASUS ROG Maximus motherboards to choose from, ranging from the Hero at the entry point and going all the way up to the Maximus Extreme at the high-end for those that want the absolute best available.

In the more mainstream gaming segment, you will find the ROG Strix Z490-E and Z490-F, as well as a Z490-I Gaming for those looking to put together a small but powerful gaming rig.

Features will vary slightly between motherboards, but for this launch, Asus has ensured beefed-up VRMs for reliable power delivery. Comprehensive connectivity options are included, so expect USB 3.2 Gen 2×2, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, up to 10Gb Ethernet, Intel WiFi 6 and more.

There are also handy, AI-assisted features for automatic overclocking, optimising cooling and memory speeds. Asus has also put extra attention into memory trace layout to improve signal integrity, leading to support for up to 5000MHz RAM speeds, as we have already seen announced by G.Skill, HERE.
