Today, Dell is bringing new life to its XPS line of laptops, including the long-awaited return of the XPS 17 option. Today's launch sees details and pricing released for both the new 2020 XPS 15 and the new XPS 17.
It has been a really long time since Dell last offered an XPS 17 but that changes this year. The new XPS 17 is said to be “the smallest 17-inch laptop on the planet”, with a minimal-bezel display. Thanks to the compact nature of the XPS 17, it is smaller than 48% of 15-inch laptops currently on the market, while having a larger display. In terms of specs, you can expect to find an Intel 10th Gen Core series processor and ‘up to' Nvidia GeForce RTX 20160 Max-Q graphics.
The XPS 15 has also been redesigned, striking a balance between power and portability. The display is slightly larger, with a 16:10 aspect ratio and there are up-firing speakers to make built-in audio better all around. Dell also boasts 25-hour battery life and specs that include 10th Gen Intel Core series CPUs and ‘up to' Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650Ti graphics.
Both the XPS 17 and the XPS 15 have displays with 100% Adobe RGB coverage and 94% DCI P3 colour gamut support. You can also choose to upgrade to a 4K Ultra HD+ (3840×2400) display.
The XPS 15 is available in the US and Europe starting this month, with pricing starting at $1,299.99. The XPS 17 is coming in June, with pricing starting at $1,499.99.
