While Mafia 3 may have had a mixed reception, there is still plenty of enthusiasm for the older games in the series. If you were a fan of the original Mafia, then you are in luck, as a remastered ‘Definitive Edition' is coming this year, and may be accompanied by remasters for Mafia 2 and Mafia 3 as well.
This week, 2K Games dropped a small teaser trailer, featuring new and improved visuals for Mafia 2 and Mafia 3. Thanks to an early and now removed listing on the Microsoft Store, we also know that Mafia 1 is also getting the remaster treatment in a new ‘Definitive Edition'.

As the Microsoft Store description reads, Mafia: Definitive Edition will feature “expanded story, gameplay and original score”, making it “the Mafia you remembered and much more”.
The game is due to come out on August 28th, although that date could be revised by the time the official announcement comes through. Speaking of, 2K Games will be making all of this official next Tuesday, the 19th of May.
