MSI introduces the Optix MAG274R gaming monitor

MSI is set to launch a new gaming monitor. The MSI Optix MAG274R is MSI's latest IPS esports monitor featuring a high refresh rate and fast response time, designed to deliver an enhanced viewing and gaming experience.

Sporting a 27-inch IPS panel with 144Hz refresh rate, 1080p resolution, and 1ms response time, the Optix MAG274R is aimed at competitive gamers, particularly those who play fast-paced games. Thanks to the panel's IPS technology, this monitor offers wide viewing angles of 178° (H) / 178° (V), preventing colour shift as your viewing position changes. This 10-bit (8-bit + FRC) panel covers 95% of the DCI-P3 wide colour gamut, and 132% of the sRGB colour gamut, while also boasting 300nits of brightness and contrast ratio of 1000:1.

There's support for AMD FreeSync Premium (48Hz – 144Hz) and HDR content. The screen also features MSI's ‘Night Vision', designed to enhance darker scenes, and the Gaming OSD App 2.0 which lets users manage the monitor's settings and create keybinds to adjust the display.

As for connectivity options, there are 1x DisplayPort 1.2a, 2x HDMI 2.0b ports, 1x USB Type-C (DP. alt mode), a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB hub with 2x USB Type-A ports, and 1x USB 2.0 Type-B port. Additionally, the stand can be adjusted by tilting (-5°~20°), swivelling (-75°~75°), pivoting (-90°~90°, and adjusting the height (0~100mm). There's also VESA 100x100mm mounting support if you wish to change the stand.
