Fast & Furious: Crossroads delayed to November in new trailer

Fast & Furious: Crossroads served as Geoff Keighley’s “one more thing” at the 2019 Game Awards. Originally announced to be releasing in May 2020, a new gameplay trailer has been released, showing off the game as well announcing its official delay to August 2020.

The trailer showcases some of the unique and wacky gadgets that players will be able to use in order to help them throughout the game. Players will have to take down enemies who are sporting unique vehicles such as airboats and even tanks.

While the player is focused on their mission, stars from the film franchise such as Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez will offer their voices in order to give advice and lend a hand with the current objectives.

Unlike most racing games, the actual racing element appears to serve as a mere backdrop to all of the zany things that players will be engaging in, such as pulling off heists and playing through large-scale set pieces – including preventing a rocket launch.

That being said, the driving itself should hopefully be solid, as the developer (Slightly Mad Studios) is known for creating titles such as Project Cars, and various Need for Speed games. Early impressions of the trailer appear to be largely negative, due in part to the seemingly subpar graphics and voice acting.

That being said, we’ll have to wait and see when Fast & Furious: Crossroads launches on the 7th of August 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

KitGuru says: What did you think of the trailer? Do you have faith in Slightly Mad Studios to pull it off? What has been your favorite racing game this generation? Let us know down below.
