As we all gathered from last week's teaser, 2K is re-releasing the Mafia Trilogy, complete with a remake for Mafia 1, a simpler remaster for Mafia 2 and of course, Mafia 3.
The new ‘Definitive Editions' for Mafia 2 and Mafia 3 are already out across Steam, Xbox One and PS4. Those who already own Mafia 2 on Steam will get an upgrade to the Definitive Edition at no extra cost but since the game was not already available on Xbox One and PS4, console owners will need to purchase it. On the upside, Mafia 3 owners across all platforms will get upgraded to the Definitive Edition for free.
Mafia 2 and Mafia 3 Definitive Edition will sell at $30 each, but the real star of the show here is Mafia: Definitive Edition- a remake for the original game.
In the screenshots above, you can see the visual revamp that Mafia has received. Mafia: Definitive Edition is not out yet, but it will be releasing on the 28th of August. A complete Mafia Trilogy containing all three games is coming with a $60 price tag. You can buy Mafia: Definitive Edition as a $40 standalone game if you would prefer.

KitGuru Says: I do wish that Mafia 2 would have gone through the same remake process, but either way, it is great to see this series making a comeback. Are any of you planning on picking up the Mafia: Definitive Edition trilogy?
