AOC adds three curved gaming monitors to the G2 series

AOC is set to expand its line of G2 gaming monitors with three new curved models. The AOC CQ34G2Z and the CQ29G2Z are very similar in terms of specifications but differ in size, while the CQ29G2E is the less feature-rich of the bunch. All three models offer a wide aspect ratio with the same 2560x1080p resolution.

These three monitors use 8-bit curved VA panels (1500R), with the CQ34G2Z being a 34 inch screen while the CQ29G2Z and CQ29G2E are both 29 inch models. All three offer 178° (H)/178° (V) viewing angles, 300 nits of brightness, and a contrast ratio of 3000:1, while these panels boast up to 120% sRGB colour gamut coverage, and up to 90% DCI-P3 coverage. We do see some differences when looking at response times and refresh rate, though, as the CQ29G2E has a 75Hz refresh rate and 1ms MPRT response time, while the CQ34G2Z and the CQ29G2Z are faster with a 200Hz refresh rate and 0.5ms of MPRT response time.

These upcoming AOC G2 monitors also have support for a VESA mount (100x100mm), PbP (Picture by Picture), PiP (Picture-in-Picture), Motion Blur Reduction, HDR Mode, FPS counter, low-blue light mode, black equalizer, and AMD FreeSync support, with the CQ29G2Z and the CQ34G2Z certified as AMD FreeSync Premium.

Both the CQ34G2Z and the CQ29G2Z offer the same ergonomic features, with height adjustment by 130mm, swivelling (-5º–23º) and tilting (±30º), while the CQ29G2E only offers tilting capacity (-5º–23º).  These monitors offer multiple connectivity options including HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort, Audio-out, and there's even a USB hub on both high refresh rate monitors.
