3DMark 11 scores spotted for AMD Ryzen 5 4400G “Renoir” APU

A new AMD “Renoir” APU has been spotted in the 3DMark database. The new AMD Ryzen 5 4400G is expected to be built on TSMC's 7nm process node and sit between the entry-level Ryzen 3 4200G and the flagship Ryzen 7 4700G.

The AMD Ryzen 5 4400G looks to be a 6C/12T APU featuring Zen 2 cores and Radeon Vega graphics, with a 1900MHz max GPU clock, according to @TUM_APISAK. The CPU base clock frequency is set to 3.7GHz and the boost clock frequency reaches up to 4.3GHz.

With the 3DMark 11 benchmark using the performance mode (P), the AMD Ryzen 5 4400G records a graphics score of 4395 and a physics score of 10241. If we take this into comparison with the current Ryzen 3000 series of APU, specifically the 3400G, the graphics score is somewhat similar, ranging from 4000 to 4500. On the other hand, the 3400G typically scores between 7000-8000 points for the physics score, which is a CPU-focused area of the benchmark, but bear in mind the 3400G is a quad-core chip.

Compared to its little brother, leaked results suggest the Ryzen 3 4200G scores about 6825 points for the physics benchmark and 3489 points in terms of graphics. This is fair bit behind the 4400G, but this is to be expected due to the slower iGPU (expected to clock around 1700MHz), and the inferior core and thread count (4C/8T).

According to @TUM_APISAK, the Ryzen 5 4400G scores are not final as they were registered in 3DMark's database because the OEM was “testing something”. The launch of the upcoming Ryzen 4000 series is expected later this year.
