Logitech G has once again teamed up with supercar manufacturer and Formula 1 racing team McLaren to bring the 3rd annual Logitech McLaren G Challenge 2020. The competition will take place across four regional divisions during the summer, with divisional winners going on to compete in the worldwide grand finals.
The Logitech McLaren G Challenge is spread across four divisions including North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific where competitors will battle it out in online qualifiers and wildcard events throughout the summer. Winner of these events will go on to compete in regional finals with the top three competitors from each division sent through to race in the worldwide grand finals.
“The Logitech McLaren G Challenge 2020 is an incredibly exciting step forward in our successful partnership with Logitech G. G Challenge will continue providing McLaren and Logitech G with a powerful way to connect with our fans and enable more gamers from around the world to share their passion for racing and test their driving skills,” added Mark Waller, managing director of sales and marketing at McLaren Racing.
All the online qualifiers, wildcard events and regional finals will be played out on Project Cars 2 and winners of the regional finals will get the chance to race in the grand finals, with all travel costs for themselves and a guest paid for by the competitions organisers. Winners will earn a four-day all-expenses-paid trip to London, where they will get a tour of the McLaren Technology Centre, coaching from F1 driver Lando Norris and then have the chance to drive a Mclaren supercar, as well as experience VIP treatment at the F1 British Grand Prix 2021.
