Spider-Man 2 update to add 8 new and returning suits

While we have yet to get any story DLC for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Insomniac Games have been supporting the title since its release last year with a bunch of new suits, features and more. As part of an update arriving next week, 8 more outfits are being added – including some returning favourites.

Making the announcement on the PlayStation blog, Aaron Jason Espinoza, the Senior Community Manager at Insomniac Games said “A brand-new, free update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is upon us and it’s bringing eight new suits to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 – including some new designs and returning favorites from previous games. This update, dropping on June 18, also addresses some community feedback and adds stability improvements to the game.”

The four new suits have been revealed to be the following:

  • Metro Suit (Miles Morales) – Designed by KidSuper
  • Ginga Suit (Miles Morales) – Co-designed by Vini Jr. and KidSuper
  • Fluro Suit (Peter Parker) – Co-designed by Lando Norris and KidSuper
  • Motorchic Suit (Peter Parker) – Co-designed by Rina Sawayama and KidSuper

For some, the returning suits are just as if not more exciting. As with most outfits in Spider-Man 2, these returning suits will also offer a number of additional colour variants:

  • Last Stand Suit (Peter Parker)
  • Into The Spider-Verse (Peter Parker)
  • Animated Suit (Miles Morales)
  • Uptown Pride Suit (Miles Morales)

Finally, the upcoming update will also add a new quality-of-life feature, giving you “the ability to swap out your parry and traversal abilities from the Symbiote to Spider Arms, and vice versa.”
