Larian has already confirmed that it won't be working on another Baldur's Gate game, or any expansions for Baldur's Gate 3. Instead, the studio will be focusing on other projects, with two new games on the way, which studio founder, Swen Vincke, claims to be Larian's “best work ever”. To support work on these new games, Larian is also growing, adding another studio to its roster.
While Larian is an independent studio mostly known for cRPGs, which are a bit more niche than a typical modern RPG, the company has been hugely successful thanks to Kickstarter successes like Divinity Original Sin 1 & 2, as well as the overall success of Baldur's Gate 3, from its Early Access PC launch, all the way up to the hot-selling console versions. In all, Larian had six studios under it when it began working on Baldur's Gate 3. Now as the company looks ahead to its next games, that number has grown to seven.
Larian is now opening a new studio in Warsaw, Poland. Larian Studios Warsaw will be in a prime location for talented industry veterans, as other companies like CD Projekt Red, 11-bit Studios, Blooper Team and more also have offices in Poland. Microsoft also just recently opened up a new studio of its own in Warsaw to work on a new game to be published by Activision.
Larian is not yet ready to share more details on its next projects but it has two “ambitious' RPGs in the works now. Baldur's Gate 3 is not even a year old yet, so it could be quite some time before we see Larian's next games in action.

KitGuru Says: Larian did fantastic work making the D&D formula accessible in digital form with Baldur's Gate 3. I hope Larian continues to modernise and push the ‘cRPG' genre forward.
