SilverStone to launch an “airflow version” of its LD03 Mini-ITX case

SilverStone has developed a new “airflow version” of its SFF LD03 case. Featuring a small footprint, 3-sided tinted tempered glass design and with more vents than the original LD03, SilverStone says the Lucid LD03-AF can be integrated into “any computing environment” while offering improved airflow for your system.

The primary difference between the new AF model and the original LD03 is that the left side panel now comes with a dedicated air vent for the graphics card (supported up to 309mm in length), offering enhanced cooling efficiency for the GPU while keeping the CPU and system cooling capabilities of the original LD03.

The LD03-AF comes with two 120mm fans: one mounted on top and another on the bottom. These fans create a vertical flow of air, with air coming from the bottom and exhausted through the top. Additionally, Silverstone says the motherboard tray has been rotated 90º to provide the best heat dissipation within the case, allowing you to mount a CPU cooler (maximum height of 190mm) that follows the air flow path from the case fans.

Thanks to the tool-less system to remove the side panels, the case's exterior looks cleaner and it should be easier to build in than original LD03. The case supports SFX/SFX-L power supplies up to 130mm long, a 120mm radiator on the bottom and 2x 2.5-inch drive bays, or one 2.5-inch drive bay and one 3.5-inch drive bay. It also includes two expansion slots and two removable dust filters, one on the bottom and one at the rear. The front I/O consists of a USB Type-C port, a USB 3.0 Type-A port, a 3.5mm audio-in jack and a 3.5mm audio-out jack.

The LD03-AF case is expected to be released on June 25th, priced at €150. You can learn more about this case HERE.
