Thrustmaster reveal Airbus licensed civil aviation flight sim accessories

A new range of accessories for flight sim lovers has been launched by Thrustmaster this week, the civil aviation range from the company is officially licensed by Airbus and includes a new flight stick, throttle quadrant and the TM Flying Clamp mounting system.

Thrustmaster and Airbus have launched a new partnership that brings a bunch of civil aviation-style products to flight sim enthusiasts. All the new products are compatible with Windows 10 and 8, as well as with the eagerly awaited Thrustmaster TM Flying Clamp mounting system for Thrustmaster flight simulation accessories. The launch also marks the company’s 30th anniversary in the industry.

New accessories added to the Thrustmaster Civil Aviation (TCA) range include the series flagship TCA Sidestick Airbus Edition PC joystick, designed for easy integration with games such as X-Plane and Microsoft Flight Simulator. The TCA Sidestick Airbus Edition is an ergonomic 1:1 scale replica of the Airbus A320 sidestick with multiple mappable buttons, modular design and a built-in throttle axis.

The joystick head features a modular design with swappable buttons to adjust the configuration to best fit a captain, co-pilot, or central position for a solo flight. Built into the base of the joystick is a thrust reverser function. This function is unique to airliners and will help the user master certain manoeuvres and perfect landings. For a more realistic airliner experience, the rudder (Z-axis) is controlled by twisting or rotating the joystick handle.
