Halo 3: ODST is finally getting Firefight in the Master Chief Collection

While Halo: Reach arrived on the Master Chief Collection with its Firefight mode present, the same can't be said for Halo 3: ODST, which only arrived as campaign DLC for the collection a couple of years ago. That is finally changing in the next few months, with the MCC version of ODST finally getting its fan-favourite co-op mode.

Firefight is a little different in ODST compared to Reach. It is more challenging and competitive overall. A small teaser was posted to the Halo Twitter account last night to announce ODST Firefight's return:

Halo 3: ODST will be getting Firefight ‘later this Summer', which is likely the same time that ODST will release on PC. Right now, the PC team working on The Master Chief Collection is getting Halo 3 ready for flighting, which will kick off this month. In July, we will hopefully hear about a release date, with ODST set to follow soon after.

Once that is all done and dusted, the only remaining game needed for the PC version will be Halo 4, which should arrive a couple of months before the release of Halo Infinite this holiday season.

KitGuru Says: There are a lot of fans of the ODST version of Firefight, so it is nice to see the mode finally added to the Master Chief Collection. Have many of you been keeping up with the MCC updates this year? Are you looking forward to ODST Firefight in the Summer?
