Bethesda announces QuakeCon at Home

Back in April, Bethesda cancelled its usual QuakeCon event due to COVID-19 and the on-going pandemic. At the time, it seemed that the event would be cancelled entirely for this year, but today, a digital version called ‘QuakeCon At Home' was officially announced.

QuakeCon at Home is taking place digitally from the 7th of August until the 9th. During this time, we will see “livestreams, tournaments, charity fundraising, and a few fun secrets”. More details are due to be shared in the coming weeks.

One big possibility for the event is the announcement of the first DOOM Eternal campaign expansion. The folks at id Software teased us with some art and screenshots earlier this year, so work on the first DLC has been well underway.

We may also end up getting news on Quake Champions and Arkane's new multiplayer game, Deathloop.
