DOOM Eternal update brings new map and lots of quality of life fixes

If any of you are diving back into DOOM Eternal, then you may want to check out the latest update. The game’s second major patch has now dropped, making changes to Empowered Demons, introducing a new map for Battlemode and also adding quality of life improvements and fixes.

In a note from the dev team, we are told that “Update 2 delivers a number of important additions, fixes and improvements”. The star of the show though is the brand new Battlemode map, DOOM Eternal’s multiplayer PvP mode pitting the slayer against player-controlled demons.

The new Battlemode arena is called ‘Torment’ and is an old UAC outpost that has long been abandoned. Of course, there are also new seasonal rewards too, including Castle Grayscale skins and other retro-inspired skins for the slayer and various demons.

Other improvements include lower latency in multi-player, more frequent empowered demons in campaign mode, XP booster menu improvements, better lighting while in photo mode, more freedom when adjusting keybindings and a number of gameplay bug fixes. You can read the full patch notes, HERE.

KitGuru Says: I’ve been slowing getting back into the DOOM Eternal campaign recently in anticipation of the first big DLC. Are many of you still playing this one?
