AOC has listed a new 4K IPS monitor on the Chinese branch of its website. The AOC U28P2U features a sleek design, with wide colour gamut coverage, making it appealing to those needing a high resolution, colour-accurate display.
Featuring a 28-inch IPS panel with 4K resolution, 4ms G2G response time, and a 60Hz refresh rate, this screen is not really aimed at gamers. It also boasts 178º (V/H) viewing angles, a typical brightness of 300nits, a contrast ratio of 1000:1 (minimum 700:1), and a bit depth of 1.07 billion colours. AOC also claims 119% coverage of the sRGB colour space, 97% of the DCI-P3 gamut, and 107% of the NTSC colour space. Additionally, the AOC U28P2U comes factory calibrated with a ΔE<2.
This monitor features Flicker-Free technology and Low-blue Light mode to reduce the user's eye strain and fatigue. It also supports PBP (picture-by-picture), PIP (picture-in-picture), and Clear Vision to make low-resolution content look sharper. Additionally, it comes with multiple image enhancement modes, including HDR mode.
Connectivity options include 2x HDMI 2.0, 1x DisplayPort, 4x USB Type-A 3.2 ports (1x with fast charging), 1x USB upstream, and 1x 3.5mm audio jack. The stand allows you to adjust the monitor's height by 130mm and tilt (-5º–35º), pivot (0–90º), and swivel (±175º). You can also use the VESA mounting (100×100) if you want to replace the default stand.
