Nintendo president apologises for Switch Joy-Con drift

Nintendo has caught plenty of flack for Joy-Con Drift, an issue that the company continues to tip-toe around due to various lawsuits brewing. There was a slight change in messaging this week though, as Nintendo President, Shuntaro Furukawa addressed the problem during an investor Q&A session.

Speaking during the session, Furukawa apologised for the on-going issues that many Switch owners are facing, but wouldn't comment much further due to the class action lawsuit over in the US.

“Regarding the Joy-Con, we apologise for any trouble caused to our customers. We are continuing to aim to improve our products, but as the Joy-Con is the subject of a class-action lawsuit in the United States and this is still a pending issue, we would it like to refrain from responding about any specific actions.”

The odd part about all of this is that Nintendo has made manufacturing revisions to the Joy-Con and even had a chance to revise the hardware further with the Switch Lite. However, so far, Joy-Con drift remains a persistent issue.
