Dutch retailer lists Acer laptops equipped with Intel Tiger Lake processors

Dutch retailer Centralpoint listed two new Acer Swift 5 laptops featuring Intel Tiger Lake i5 and i7 processors. These listings, which have since been removed, pointed to a July 27 release date for both of these laptops, meaning that we might see Intel Tiger Lake in the market before the end of next month.

Two weeks ago, Intel started to dispatch marketing kits linked to its upcoming Tiger Lake processors, which was then followed by a tweet showing a glimpse of their performance when paired with Xe graphics. Both of these moves suggest that Tiger Lake will be releasing sooner rather than later. If that wasn't enough, Centralpoint's listings (1, 2) noticed by @9550pro, also seem to suggest Tiger Lake is not far away now.

These two listings referred to two Acer Swift 5 laptops: one equipped with the Intel Core i5-1135G7, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, while the other has a Core i7-1165G7, with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. Both also come with an Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX 201 and Bluetooth 5.0 modules and sport Full HD touchscreens. Although not explicitly stated, both the i5 and i7 will probably come equipped with Xe graphics. The i5 model looks to be priced at about £1020 (1130.14 Euros) , with the i7 model around the £1250 mark (1379.40 Euros).

Tiger Lake processors use a 10nm process node and will be Intel's first CPUs using Willow Cove core architecture and Xe graphics. With an expected maximum TDP of 25W, the Tiger Lake CPUs will be used in thin and light laptops, just like Acer's Swift series of laptops.

If the July 27 release date is correct, it's likely we will get some official information about Tiger Lake before then.
