ASUS has introduced its latest portable monitor, the ZenScreen MB14AC, sporting a full HD 14-inch IPS panel that can be used vertically as well as horizontally.
Portable monitors appear to be on the up, with more and more companies introducing their own portable screens to the market. HANNspree and ViewSonic both announced two new portable monitors each last week and today ASUS joins the party with the ZenScreen MB14AC. This portable monitor from ASUS weighs a mere 590g, and has a thin 9 mm profile which makes it perfect for using it on the go.

ZenScreen MB14AC features a “hybrid-signal solution”, which means that both power and video transmission can be delivered by a single cable. ASUS' new ZenScreen is also compatible with any laptop with a USB Type-C or Type A port. The panel itself has a 700:1 contrast ratio, 250 cd/m² maximum brightness, and 178° H/V viewing angles.
ASUS ZenScreen MB14AC is also built to automatically sense its orientation and switch the monitor between landscape and portrait modes. The Taiwanese manufacturer explains that “landscape mode is ideal for presentations and Excel sheets, while Portrait mode gives you a perfect view of items such as codes, documents, books or mobile websites.”
So far pricing and the release date are yet to be revealed. More information about the ZenScreen MB14AC can be found on the product page HERE.
