LG has announced two new LG TONE Free true wireless earbuds, the HBS-FN6 and HBS-FN4 models. These earbuds from LG feature self-cleaning technology as well as Meridian's Headphone Spatial Processing technology.
These earbuds from LG have been developed together with Meridian, an English audio specialist founded back in 1977. Meridian provides its Headphone Spatial Processing (HSP) and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) for the earbuds, with the latter technology promising to deliver “vocals with pristine clarity, completely immersing the listener”.
The higher end HBS-FN6 model includes LG’s “UVnano” charging case that uses ultraviolet light to eliminate “99.9 percent of E. coli and S. aureus”. Fully charged, both models provide six hours of usage and the UVnano case is said to deliver three full charges for a total of 18 hours of battery life.

“LG has always striven to deliver better sound to more consumers and with our new TONE Free earbuds we are expanding on our successful partnership with Meridian Audio,” said Park Hyung-woo, head of LG Home Entertainment Company’s audio and video division. “On top of great sound, TONE Free brings something new to the table that is also very practical.”
Both LG TONE Free models will be made available in Europe and America starting in July. The pricing for these models has not yet been disclosed.
