TeamGroup has released its latest SSD, the T-FORCE CARDEA Ceramic C440, offering sequential read/write speeds that reach as high as 5,000/4,400 MB/s.
The new CARDEA Ceramic C440 SSDs from TeamGroup come with either 1TB or 2TB capacities. The “Ceramic” part of the product's name stems from the SSD being built using “Aerospace ceramic material for better heat dissipation”. These drives are specified to have an MTBF (mean time between failures) of 1,700,000 hours – which is just over 194 years.

Additionally, the 1TB model is rated for a TBW of 1800TB, with the 2TB upping this to 3600TBW. The SSD manufacturer said that the “definition and conditions of TBW (Terabytes Written) are based on JEDEC standard”.
The SDDs use a PCIe Gen4 x4 interface, with NVMe 1.3, and offer support for “S.M.A.R.T function” – including such as GC (garbage collection), TRIM command, LDPC (Low Density Parity Check Code) error correction mechanism, E2E Data Protection, which are all designed to “help in operation efficiency and to prolong the service life of the SSD”.
