AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3000 series specifications have leaked

In the past week, we shared with you a photo showing an AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3995WX, which raised the possibility of a complete Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3000 series. According to the latest leak, it seems that AMD will indeed launch it, and it will consist of 4 processors with up to 64 cores and 128 threads.

Unlike the consumer Threadripper processors, designed for enthusiast gamers, streamers and editors, the PRO series is aimed at professional studios, designers, engineers and data scientists. Supporting up to 128 PCIe 4.0 lanes, the PRO series will double what the consumer processors currently support. Other features that the PRO series seems to include are the support of up to 2TB of RAM (UDIMM/RDIM/LRDIMM/3DS RDIMM) with ECC, AMD PRO technologies and up to 8x modules of DDR4 memory clocked at 3200MHz.

According to Videocardz, the four processors that belong to AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3000 series feature a 280W TDP. The Threadripper PRO 3995WX and the 3975WX are very similar to the Threadripper 3990X and the 3970X, but they come clocked at 100-300MHz lower on both base and boost clocks.

The other two PRO series processors are the 16C/32T  Threadripper PRO 3955WX, and the 12C/24T Threadripper PRO 3945WX. The 3955WX comes in with a base frequency of 3.9GHz, while the 3945WX has a base clock of 4.0GHz. Both processors boost up to 4.3GHz.

Right now, leakers are expecting an official announcement from AMD this week, possibly as soon as tomorrow, the 14th of July.
