MSI unveils Creator 400M case designed for workstation systems

Designed with workstation builds in mind, the MSI Creator 400M chassis was inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man, using “design cues from the golden ratio”. MSI says the Creator 400M was built to mitigate the noise generated by workstation systems, as demonstrated by the use of 5.38mm tempered laminated glass, and soundproof cotton on the top, front and right side of the case.

The MSI Creator 400M is the “industry's first” case using tempered laminated glass. Aimed at content creation, multi-tasking and gaming, this space grey chassis has a front aluminium panel that can be opened to increase the case's airflow. Additionally, there's a subtle RGB LED strip to “bring the most comfortable working environment for creators”.

There are 2x 140mm fans included at the front and 1x 140mm fan at the rear. The chassis supports up to 3x 140mm fans and up to a 360mm radiator at the front, and 1x 140mm radiator at the rear. Supported motherboard form factors include mini-ITX, Micro-ATX, ATX, and Extended-ATX. You can also mount up to a 450mm long GPU, and up to a 180mm tall CPU cooler.

There are 7x expansion slots, 2x 2.5-inch drive bays behind the motherboard tray, and an additional 3.5/2.5-inch drive bays in the drive cage below the PSU shroud. If the drive cage is installed, you can use a PSU up to 180mm long. If the drive cage is removed, you can mount up to a 200mm long PSU. The front I/O panel includes 2x USB-A 3.2, 1x USB-C 3.2, 2x USB-A 2.0, 1x 3.5mm audio-out jack, and 1x 3.5mm audio-in jack.

One other thing that should be noted is the MSI RTX Evoke graphics card in the last image. According to TechPowerUp, MSI hasn't launched an Nvidia Evoke graphics card yet, but that may soon change. Based on the available MSI Radeon Evoke graphics cards, this pictured RTX graphics card should use a similar 2-fan design, with a gold shroud. The NVLink interface in the graphics card leads us to believe that it is an RTX 2070 Super or above.

The Creator 400M is available for pre-order in the UK, priced at £149.99. You can learn more about this case HERE.
