Mafia: Definitive Edition has been delayed

While the Definitive Edition remasters for Mafia 2 and 3 were somewhat disappointing, there are still high hopes for Mafia: Definitive Edition- a more comprehensive remake of the original game. While the plan was to release Mafia: Definitive Edition in August, the plan has now changed, with the release being pushed back by 1 month.

In an update today, 2K Games and Hangar 13 stated that meeting the initial August 28th launch date has “become increasingly challenging due to the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic”. In order to avoid compromising on quality, the game will now be releasing in September.

While we won't be able to play the game until the 25th of September, we will be getting a good look at it much sooner. On the 22nd of July, Mafia: Definitive Edition gameplay will debut for the first time.

In the meantime, Mafia 2 and Mafia 3: Definitive Edition are already available on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
