EVGA is about to expand its portfolio of power supplies with the new BA Bronze series. Featuring 80PLUS Bronze certification, a single +12V rail, and a DC-DC converter, EVGA BA Bronze PSUs offer a decent set of protections combined with efficiency.
The BA series will consist of 2x hard-lined PSU models, one with a rated power output of 500W and another one with 600W. The 120mm fan equipped in both units is near silent up to 60% of load, peaking at just over 30dBA when the PSU is at 100% load.
The DC-DC converter steps down the voltage with minimal ripple while keeping it stable. The 80PLUS bronze certification means the power supply is operating with an efficiency of 82%, at any load, with any power input (115V/230V). This means that only a small portion of the power input is being wasted.
These EVGA power supplies feature “a full suite of protections”, including OCP, OVP, UVP, OPP, SCP, OTP, ensuring the safety and security of your hardware.
We're still waiting on specific pricing and availability information, but EVGA has confirmed that these PSUs will be backed by a 5-year warranty. You can learn more about them HERE.
