Razer launches its first 60% keyboard – the Huntsman Mini

The Razer Huntsman Mini is the company's first ultra-compact, 60% keyboard. Built upon community feedback, the Huntsman Mini is now available with both black and mercury matte finishings, with clicky purple optical switches. Razer will also launch an option with the recently improved linear red optical switches.

The clicky purple switches are “for gamers who prefer receiving crisp, tactile feedback” that matches what they feel when pushing a button. The new Razer linear red switches are aimed at gamers who want an instant keystroke, without the tactile bump and reduced noise.

The Hunstman Mini's small dimensions are due to the absence of the function row, the home cluster and the numpad of a traditional keyboard. However, it doesn't lose any functionality because Razer added all the “absent” inputs as secondary functions and shortcuts. These functions and shortcuts are side-printed in the double shot PBT keycaps included with the Huntsman Mini. Additionally, these keycaps are more resistant to wear, offering enhanced durability and clear labelling of the keys.

The USB cable used to connect the Huntsman Mini to a system is detachable for ease of transportation. The aluminium construction provides a sturdy and robust body capable of withstanding long gaming sessions. The keyboard's onboard memory allows you to store up to 5 keyboard profiles without the use of software. However, you can also use Razer Chroma to enhance your RGB lighting profiles and effects, including dynamic lighting effects with over 150 integrated games.

The Razer Huntsman Mini with purple optical switches is available now for £119.19/$119.99/€129.99. The Huntsman Mini with linear, red optical switches will be available next month, priced at $129.99/€139.99.
