Acer has introduced its XZ2 series of curved gaming monitors to provide a smooth and immersive gameplay experience. The XZ2 series consists of three models: the 24-inch Acer Nitro XZ242Q, the 27-inch Acer Nitro XZ272, and the 32-inch Nitro XZ322QU.
The three displays support AMD Radeon FreeSync for tear-free gaming sessions, and are VESA Certified DisplayHDR 400 monitors, meaning that it can achieve up to 400nits of brightness. Additionally, these 8-bit VA panels offer a static contrast ratio of 3000:1, 1ms of response time (VRB) and Full HD resolution. Featuring a 1500R curvature, the XZ2 series monitors have an increased “perceived area of peripheral vision” compared to flat panels. The Nitro XZ242Q features a 144hz refresh, while the other two have a 165Hz refresh rate.
You can manage the monitor colour, hue and saturation settings through a 6-axis color adjustment tool and optimise the darker areas of the screen by choosing 1 of the 11 black presets available in the monitor's OSD. You can then use the Acer Display Widget to save your profile and bind it to certain applications, or organise the displays viewing area “via screen split”. Acer Game mode also has 8 preset modes to choose from: Action, Racing, Sport, User, Standard, ECO, Graphic and Movie.
Through wide 178º(V)/178º(H) viewing angles and Acer VisionCare, these monitors provide a comfortable viewing experience without straining the user's eyes. To further enhance the user's experience, each monitor features a stand with 360° swivel, tilt and height adjustment capabilities. It also supports 100×100 VESA mounting brackets to wall mount if the user wants to improve the monitor's ergonomic features or to mount it on a wall to free up desk space.
The three monitors come with 2x 3W speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, 2x HDMI ports, and a DisplayPort. The Acer XZ2 series gaming monitors are available starting at $199.99 for the Nitro XZ242Q, $259.99 for the Nitro XZ272 and $449.99 for the Nitro XZ322QU.
