We are just one week away from Microsoft's big July Xbox games showcase. We've heard some rumours about what might be shown, so in the build-up, Xbox leads are setting expectations, giving us a few more details on what the event will entail.
First up, the show will be about an hour long, as confirmed by Xbox marketing lead, Aaron Greenberg. It will also focus purely on games, so don't expect any business talk surrounding price, devices, services etc, except for perhaps the odd mention of games coming to Xbox Game Pass.
I know everyone is excited for Xbox Games Showcase next Thursday. Seen some wild expectations so if helpful this show has one focus, games. No business, devices or similar news, just games. A whole show about hour long focused on games. Hope you enjoy it! https://t.co/eIPBsJtLbJ

Xbox Game Studios is currently busy working on “a huge variety of games”, some of which we'll get to see next week. The biggest of which is set to be the first campaign gameplay for Halo Infinite, indicating that 343 Industries will be waiting a bit longer to talk about the multiplayer portion of the game.
The Xbox Games Showcase kicks off on the 23rd of July at 9AM PT/17:00 BST. There will be an hour long pre-show taking place beforehand, which is hosted by Geoff Keighley.
