Kingston is expanding its lineup of encrypted USB flash drives, ensuring your data is always secure while on the go. There are three new encrypted flash drives launching today, all of which are part of a full catalogue of encrypted solutions to suit needs of all levels.
Due to regulations like GDPR and CCPA, many consumers are now more aware of the need for data security and privacy. The DataTraveler Locker from Kingston aims to fill that need, providing multiple security safe guards to keep files safe and secure.
The first new flash drive launching today is the DataTraveler Locker G3, which secures personal data with hardware encryption and password protection, providing a double layer of security. There is also cloud backup as an optional feature, so you can back up your secured data to Google Drive, One Drive or another service of your choice.
Next is the DataTraveler Vault Privacy 3.0, which provides business-grade security with 256-bit AES hardware encryption. It also features a read-only access mode to avoid malware risks, co-logo, serialisation numbering and support for customised product identifiers for integration with standard end-point management software. As you may expect from the feature list, these are primarily intended for corporate IT use.
Finally, the DataTraveler 4000G2 is also being announced today. This is a FIPS 140-2 Level 3-certified flash drive with 256-bit AES-XTS encryption with all of the other business-friendly security features found on the Vault Privacy 3.0. These will be available starting on the 27th of July and IT admins can centrally manage each drive to meet compliance requirements.
The DataTraveler Locker G3 is going to be available in 8GB to 128GB capacities, while the Vault Privacy 3.0 and 4000G2 flash drives will be available in 4GB to 128GB capacities. Each is backed by a five year warranty.
