Intel Core i3-1115G4 processor spotted with a 3.0GHz base clock

Intel hasn't yet shared details about its upcoming Tiger Lake processors, but a new leak might give us an idea of what's about to come. The Intel Core i3-1115G4 Tiger Lake processor was spotted in SiSoftware, and with it, some juicy details of its core configuration, base clock, and L2 and L3 cache memory.

Shared by known leaker @TUM_APISAK, the SiSoftware database entry of the 2C/4T Intel Core i3-1115G4 CPU shows that it will come with 2x 1.25MB of L2 cache, 6MB of L3 cache, and a base clock of 3.0GHz. The turbo boost clock wasn't detailed.

These specifications are quite the bump over the Ice Lake Core i3-1005G1, which features a 1.2GHz base clock and 4MB of L3 cache. Such improvement can be interpreted as a sign of Intel's refinement of its 10nm process node and how capable the Willow Cove core architecture is compared to its predecessors.

Based on the “G4” nomenclature, this processor should also come with an iGPU superior to the one used on the Core i3-1005G1. Besides, Tiger Lake is supposed to be the launch platform for Intel Xe Graphics, featuring up to 96 EUs, 32 more than the Ice Lake processors 12th Gen iGPU architecture.

Intel will host a virtual launch event for its Tiger Lake architecture, scheduled for September 2nd. By then, we will be able to confirm this leak and much more about Intel's new mobile processor architecture.
