Embracer Group acquires several new studios including 4A Games

Embracer Group now owns 100 percent of shares in 4A Games, a deal worth between $36 million and $45 million. Embracer Group subsidiary, Saber Interactive, has also picked up New World Interactive, a Canada-based studio. THQ Nordic, another subsidiary of Embracer Group, has acquired Pow Wow Entertainment and Deca Live Operations.

With all of this movement, Embracer Group has substantially bolstered its selection of game studios. This news also comes with word on several exciting game projects. For starters, the next Saints Row game is deep into development, 4A Games is working on another Metro game and a new multiplayer-focused IP.

Embracer Group has 26 studios under its belt now, so there will be plenty of other games coming down the pipeline, like Biomutant, a new entry into the Darksiders series and more.
