Fall Guys is officially coming to mobile (in China)

The success of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has been swift and unexpected. The Takeshi's Castle styled Battle Royale game has resonated greatly with both PC and PS4 players. While the game has until now been restricted to these two platforms, Fall Guys has officially been announced to be coming to smartphones – at least in China.

According to industry analyst Daniel Ahmad, the “Chinese games and entertainment company Bilibili has secured the rights to publish a mobile version of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout in China.”

The official page can be found HERE, though it is of course in Chinese. That being said, a trailer was released showing what the game looks like on mobile, and it appears to be a relatively faithful port, including the full 60 player matches.

While Fall Guys for mobile is currently only coming to China, Mediatonic have previously expressed interest in bringing the popular Battle Royale game to other platforms, including mobile. With how successful the game has been in such a short time (selling over 2 million copies on PC in its first week), there is little doubt that work is being done on a mobile port for the West – the only question is when.

In other news, Fall Guys has once again topped the Steam charts for its third week in a row, cementing itself as more than just a fleeting fad. Though the game still has a long way to go to stand toe-to-toe with the likes of Fortnite, Fall Guys is certainly on its way there.
