Mass Effect Remaster might be revealed in October

Ever since the launch of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One back in 2013, fans have been clamouring for a remaster of the Mass Effect Trilogy. While rumours of its existence have been circling for what feels like forever, the elusive remaster might finally be arriving in October – as teased by one insider.

Jeff Grubb has consistently and accurately leaked announcement dates for many of the gaming events which have taken place over the course of this Summer. Recently, Grubb added to his online timeline, with an event in October simply titled “Remasster.”

The purposefully incorrect spelling of remaster has led fans to speculate that the much-rumoured Mass Effect Trilogy remaster could finally be announced in October.

If this is indeed the case, it’ll be interesting to see whether the remaster arrives for the current generation of consoles, or whether EA/BioWare opt to save it for the upcoming PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The Mass Effect trilogy of games were released between 2007 and 2012, and garnered a massive fan following in its wake. To this day, BioWare and Mass Effect fans celebrate the series every year on “N7 Day” – the 7th of November. With this rumoured event being close to N7 Day, it’ll be interesting to see whether these alleged remasters will tie-in to the event somehow. We’ll just have to wait and see.
