HyperX launches Cloud Core + 7.1 gaming headset

Following the successful release of the Cloud Core gaming headset, HyperX is now launching a variant featuring 7.1 virtual surround sound for the PC and PS4 platforms. Thanks to the 7.1 virtual surround sound and the signature Cloud design, this headset aims to please gamers with comfort, durability and audio experience.

The Cloud Core 7.1 comes with a controller to easily adjust the volume of the microphone and headset, mute the microphone, and turn on/off the 7.1 virtual surround sound. As a multi-platform compatible headset, the included audio controller can be connected through USB to a PC or PS4, or through the 3.5 mm connector for devices with 3.5mm audio jacks. The headset features an aluminium frame for increased durability and soft leatherette and plush memory foam to offer outstanding comfort to the user.

The latest addition to Cloud series features the same 53mm dynamic neodymium magnets drivers, in a circumaural, closed back casing. Drivers' frequency response ranges from 15Hz to 25KHz and has a nominal sound pressure level of 98±3dB and a nominal impedance of 60Ω. The flexible and detachable noise-cancelling microphone is uni-directional and has a sensitivity of -42.6dBV and a frequency response between 100Hz and 12KHz.

Nate Almond, audio manager at HyperX, stated that the Cloud Core + 7.1 headset is an ” affordable, stylish headset solution that supports hours of comfort and high-quality audio”, meeting the needs of virtual classroom needs and online gaming sessions. Additionally, this headset is certified by Discord and Teamspeak “for seamless chat compatibility”.

The HyperX Cloud Core + 7.1 headset is available now, priced at $69.99. You can learn more about this headset HERE.
