Dirt 5 minimum and recommended PC system requirements announced

Shortly after announcing a small one week delay for Dirt 5, Codemasters has also revealed the PC system requirements for its next-gen racing simulator. As you would expect from a racing game, it is accessible and playable on older PC hardware, but also takes advantage of newer and more powerful components at higher graphics settings.

Dirt 5 will eat up 60GB of storage space, which isn't too bad by today's standards. It is certainly a lot more manageable than something like Modern Warfare, which now eats up over 200GB on PCs. We can expect Dirt 5 to run well at high frame rates too, as the PS5 and Xbox Series X editions will ship with 120Hz modes.

Here are the full system requirements for Dirt 5 on PC:

Minimum system requirements:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: 64-Bit Windows 10 (18362)
  • Processor: Intel Core i3 2130 / AMD FX 4300
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 970 / AMD RX 480 (DirectX12 Graphics Card)
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 60 GB available space

Recommended system requirements:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: 64-Bit Windows 10 (18362)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 9600K / AMD Ryzen 5 2600X
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 1070 Ti / AMD Vega 64 (DirectX12 Graphics Card)
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 60 GB available space

Dirt 5 is releasing on the 16th of October for PC and current-gen consoles. It will then launch on Xbox Series X and PS5 when those consoles release.
