EVGA has just launched the successors of the award-winning EVGA 1600 G2 and 1300 G2 power supplies. The new SuperNOVA 1600 and 1300 G+ PSUs are the latest addition to the SuperNOVA G+ line of 80+ gold power supplies, set to continue to deliver the “EVGA quality and performance” that the G2 PSUs were known for.
The fully modular SuperNOVA G+ PSUs were internally reorganised to offer improved airflow and come with a variable resistor module to enhance voltage stability. There are also two DC-DC modules to power switch efficiently, EVGA Eco mode to prevent the fan from spinning at low/medium loads, and a full range of protections, including OCP, OVP, OTP, OPP, SCP, and UVP.
Compared to the 1600 G2 power supply, the 1600 G+ is 20mm shorter, “giving you more space without sacrificing quality”. The new SuperNOVA G+ power supplies also come with a tighter 12V load regulation when compared with their predecessors, featuring a single 12V rail capable of outputting up to 133A. Additionally, all capacitors in the SuperNOVA 1600 and 1300 G+ are Japanese, ensuring the reliability and high performance of these power supplies.
Both the 1300W and 1600W model comes with 135mm fans offering high durability and low noise levels. Compared to its predecessors, the SuperNOVA 1600 G+ is 35% quieter under load, generating up to 24.6 dB of noise vs 38 dB of the SuperNOVA 1600 G2. The 1300W SuperNOVA G+ is also quieter than its G2 counterpart by around 30%.
The EVGA SuperNOVA 1600 and 1300 G+ are available now, with the 1600W model costing $399.99, while the 1300W model is priced at $249.99. These EVGA SuperNOVA G+ power supplies are backed by a 10-year warranty and qualify for the EVGA exclusive GRIP promotion, which gives you a copy of the game and an exclusive skin, while supplies last.
