Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is quickly becoming one of the hottest games of the Summer. The Takeshi’s Castle styled Battle Royale title launched on the 4th of August to great enthusiasm. Though the game initially suffered from server capacity issues, it appears to have been for a good reason – as the game has sold over 2 million copies on Steam in less than a week.
Taking to Twitter to make the announcement, the publisher Devolver Digital revealed that “The incredible team @Mediatonic and the super chill @FallGuysGame community have put up some wild numbers in just one week! Big thanks to all for all the great jellybean vibes,” posting an infographic of first week numbers.
While the infographic reveals interesting statistics such as the fact that 23,000,000 hours of Fall Guys has been watched on Twitch, by far the most impressive figure is the fact that the game has already sold 2 million copies on Steam alone.

Though the game was also released on PlayStation 4, it was made available as a day one release via PlayStation Plus, meaning that the game in theory could have been “bought” by over 45 million PlayStation owners, skewing the console’s sales statistics.
Still, it’s success on both PC and PlayStation is undeniable, with the game also achieving the highest revenue on Steam for the week ending the 9th of August. With such rapid success, it’ll be interesting to see where Fall Guys will be in just a month.
