Intel Jasper Lake lineup leaks ahead of apparent early 2021 launch

Allegedly set to release in Q1 2021, Intel Jasper Lake is the successor to the low-power Gemini Lake architecture. Intel Jasper Lake is Intel's upcoming processor architecture aimed at entry-level laptops and mini desktops, and it will be using the Tremont core architecture.

Through the use of the Tremont architecture, Jasper Lake processors will offer an IPC increase of about 30% over the previous generation, according to Intel. The hybrid Lakefield SOCs were the first products to use this architecture, more specifically in the “little” cores.

According to FanlessTech, Jasper Lake will introduce three new 10W TDP desktop SKUs and three 6W TDP mobile SKUs. Starting with the desktop SKUs, it will include the 4C/4T Pentium Silver N6005 with a base clock of 2.0GHz, a boost clock of 3.3GHz (max quad-core burst), the 4C/4T Celeron N5105 with a base clock of 2.0GHz, a boost clock of 2.8GHz (max quad-core burst), and the 2C/2T Celeron N4505 with a base clock of 2.0GHz, a boost clock of 2.9GHz (max dual-core burst). All these three processors have UHD graphics and 4MB of L2 cache.

Jumping to the mobile SKUs, there will be the 4C/4T Pentium Silver N6000 with a base/boost clock of 1.1/3.1GHz, the 4C/4T Celeron N5100 with a base/boost clock of 1.1/2.8GHz, and the 2C/2T Celeron N4505 with a base clock of 1.1GHz and a boost clock of 2.8GHz (max dual-core burst). Just like the desktop SKUs, these processors will come with UHD graphics and 4MB of L2 cache.

Laptops, mini desktops, and other products using this architecture should be available early next year. Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru says: How much more performance will Jasper Lake bring over its predecessor? Will it be enough to justify an upgrade if you are using Gemini Lake-powered CPU?
