CES 2021 will be a digital event

CES 2020 was able to take place this year just ahead of the COVID-19 pandemic. That won't be the case for CES 2021 though, which will be an all-digital event due to continuing health concerns. 

In an announcement today, the Consumer Electronics Show organisers announced the digital plan for CES 2021, confirming that due to COVID-19 concerns, it is “not possible to safely convene tens of thousands of people in Las Vegas in early January 2021”.

“With the growing global health concerns about the spread of COVID-19, it is not possible to safely convene tens of thousands of people in Las Vegas in early January 2021 to meet and do business in person. An all-digital CES 2021 will allow the entire tech community to safely share ideas and introduce the products that will shape our future. You’ll be able to participate in all the awe-inspiring moments of CES wherever you are in the world. We are designing a unique experience for the tech industry.”

CES 2021 will still offer keynotes, conferences, product showcases and meeting/networking opportunities for those looking to forge new business partnerships. The plan is to return to hosting a physical CES in Las Vegas in early 2022.
