We already knew that CD Projekt Red was planning post-launch content to support Cyberpunk 2077 and as we near the game's new (hopefully final) release date, we are getting more details on what that extra DLC will include. As you may expect, the plan will be quite similar to what we saw with The Witcher 3.
Back when CD Projekt Red released The Witcher 3, it also released 16 free DLC packs for the next three months following the game's launch. This ended with the release of a New Game+ mode and mod tools. Cyberpunk 2077 will be getting similar treatment:

Obviously, the exact free DLCs have not been announced yet, but CD Projekt Red will unveil all of that in due time. First, the developers need to worry about meeting the new November release date for the base game, after which, we can finally start talking about DLC more in-depth.
CD Projekt Red has also previously confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will get bigger paid expansions, just like The Witcher 3 did. Unlike The Witcher series though, CD Projekt Red is also working on a full-scale multiplayer spin-off for the Cyberpunk 2077 universe.
