No More Heroes 3 delayed to 2021 due to Covid-19 pandemic

No More Heroes 3 is the latest addition to the list of games delayed because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Initially scheduled to release before the year ends, No More Heroes III is now slated to release in 2021.

As announced by Goichi “Suda51” Suda, the creator of the No More Heroes series, the Grasshopper Manufacture studio initially thought they could release No More Heroes 3 in 2020. Unfortunately, the current pandemic affected the game's development, delaying its release to 2021.

In a message, Suda51 stated that the “effects of the Covid-19 pandemic have unfortunately proven to be a real body blow” to the development of No More Heroes 3. With the team back at work, quality will be the main priority, but the release date had to be pushed back to 2021.

The message from Suda51 wasn't all bad news. He also announced that Darick W. Robertson, American comic book illustrator known for his work on “The Boys”, will be working with Grasshopper Manufacture to “provide illustrations for the game”. Some of these illustrations will be posted on Twitter by Suda. You can check the first illustration HERE.

No More Heroes 3 is the fourth game of the series. Announced back in E3 2019 for Nintendo Switch, the game will be a direct sequel to No More Heroes 2. Last year, Suda51 released Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes, a spin-off that wasn't as well-received as the other two No More Heroes games.
