Each week, the Epic Games Store gifts its users with a number of free games. Following on from last week's offering of Remnant: From the Ashes and The Alto Collection, those with an Epic Games account can now get their hands on Enter the Gungeon as well as God’s Trigger.
Enter the Gungeon is a “bullet hell dungeon crawler following a band of misfits seeking to shoot, loot, dodge roll and table-flip their way to personal absolution by reaching the legendary Gungeon’s ultimate treasure: the gun that can kill the past”. The Devolver Digital published Roguelike received high praise upon its release in 2016 thanks in part to “gameplay that beckons you to come back for one more run, a great art style and presentation, and seemingly something new discover or unlock on every playthrough.”
God’s Trigger is another twin-stick roguelike shooter similar to Enter the Gungeon. That being said, God’s Trigger is self-described as “a power fantasy where you dispatch enemies with speed and precision in a ballet of blood and explosions. Burst through a room in seconds killing with one of the many weapons, freely selectable special abilities, environmental hazards, and melee attacks”. Furthermore, the game can be played solo, switching between two characters, or co-op allowing you and a friend to take on the enemies together.
Both Enter the Gungeon and God’s Trigger are available to download from now until the 27th of August at 4pm.
