Each week, the Epic Games Store gifts its users with a number of free games. Announced last week, Epic Games revealed that HITMAN would be one of the free games on offer. Alongside that however is the Cyberpunk RPG Shadowrun. Both titles will be available to download for free from now until the 3rd of September.
HITMAN serves as a soft reboot to the long-running and much-loved assassination stealth franchise. Taking the series back to its roots, HITMAN drops the player into an open sandbox environment with a target and near-infinite possibilities.
Players can “experiment and have fun in the ultimate playground as Agent 47 to become the master assassin. Travel around the globe to exotic locations and eliminate your targets with everything from a katana or a sniper rifle to an exploding golf ball”. HITMAN received high praise upon its release, with many viewing the game as a much needed return to form for the series.
The Shadowrun Collection is a collection of three titles in the Shadowrun universe: Shadowrun Returns, Shadowrun Dragonfall and Shadowrun Hong Kong. These titles blend the cyberpunk and fantasy genres to create wholly unique turn-based tactical RPG experiences. All three games received favourable reviews upon their respective releases.
Both HITMAN and Shadowrun Collection are available to download for free from now until the 3rd of September at 4pm.
