Intel Xe-HPG and DG2 graphics cards specs may have leaked

New reports about the Intel Xe dedicated graphics solutions show that a Xe-HPG graphics card with 960 EUs is being evaluated and that the DG2 graphics card might come with up to 8GB of GDDR6 memory.

As per MebiuW, the Intel DG2 is expected to come with 128, 384, and 512 EUs, but another unnamed source (via VideoCardz) adds that the 384 EUs GPU will be paired with 6GB of GDDR6 memory, a 192-bit memory bus, and a die sized between 185 and 188 mm². Additionally, this same source also stated that Intel is evaluating the launch of a 960 EUs Xe-HPG GPU.

If Intel releases a 960 EUs graphics solution, expected for the latter half of 2021, the Xe-HPG GPU would have 7680 FP32 ALUs (cores), meaning that it could well rival AMD and Nvidia graphics cards.

In other news, an image shared by Uniko's Hardware shows a device listing with a DG2 graphics card with 8GB of GDDR6 memory and a Tiger Lake-H processor (45W), Intel's 8-core high-end mobile processors. This DG2 GPU should be the 512 EUs variant, with a 256-bit memory bus. The other processor option for this device looks to be an Intel Alder Lake-P CPU, expected to release in 2021.

A 6GB GDDR6 DG2 graphics card with 384 EUs (3072 ALUs/cores) and featuring a 192-bit memory bus has also been leaked. VideoCardz received a PCB diagram of this graphics card, showing a die sized at 189mm². Given how small the die in this DG2 cards is, there's the chance that this will be aimed at notebooks.

Another interesting feature that might come with Intel DG2 graphics card is the support for USB-C connectors, as noted by @KOMACHI_ENSAKA. This comes a day after AMD showed that the upcoming Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards come with a USB-C connector, unlike the Nvidia RTX 30 series cards.
