First official PS5 hands-on impressions go live on the 4th of October

While Sony have shown off many aspects to the upcoming next-generation PlayStation 5, nothing can compare to actually getting your hands on the device. While most fans will have to wait until launch day, the console manufacturer has announced that a number of online personalities will be getting their hands on the console pre-launch, with impressions going live on the 4th of October.

Announced by PlayStation Japan, the hands-on, which will coincide with YouTube Gaming Week, will see a dozen Japanese YouTubers experience the PlayStation 5 for the first time. Sony has confirmed that they will get the opportunity to try a number of games, though the console manufacturer hasn't specified which titles.

Following on from this, the participants will then be able to give their first impression on the 4th of October at 10am BST, when the embargo lifts.

While there has been no announcement so far for an English language equivalent, there will undoubtedly be new information to parse from these hands-on events regardless. Hopefully new information such as the PS5’s UI, and other more intimate details of the console will be revealed following this event.

Microsoft has also recently sent out a number of Xbox Series X devices to online influencers, though the embargo date for the Xbox console is currently unknown.
