Xbox Series S launches on November 10th

This morning, Microsoft officially confirmed the Xbox Series S console following a leak a few hours earlier. This afternoon, the trailer and other details about the console also leaked, so Microsoft is lifting the curtain on everything.

The Xbox Series S is officially launching on the 10th of November. Microsoft has not confirmed that the Xbox Series X will release on the same date, but it seems likely.

In the trailer, we learn that the Xbox Series S will also target next-gen frame rates, including support for 120Hz modes in games. The console will also ship with the custom NVMe SSD and Velocity Architecture found in the Series X, leading to snappy performance and super fast loading.

You can expect games to run at up to 1440p with 4K upscaling on the Series S, compared to full 4K on the Series X. You will still get ray-tracing and other hardware features though. As you would expect, 4K streaming and media playback is still supported.

KitGuru Says: What do you all think of the Xbox Series S so far? It certainly seems tempting with that £249 launch price tag.
