Computex 2024: Sapphire showcases limited edition graphics cards & B650 motherboard!

Our Computex 2024 coverage begins today with our hardware experts, Leo and Dominic, heading to Sapphire's room to check out all the new products coming up in 2024. including a first-hand look at Sapphire's new Special Edition Frostpunk graphics card…

One of the first things that immediately caught our eye was the new Limited Edition Radeon RX 7700 XT. Sapphire has teamed up with the developers behind Frostpunk to release a special edition version of the RX 7700 XT to celebrate the launch of Frostpunk 2. This graphics card was announced prior to Computex but this is our first time seeing it in person, and we very much like it. The graphics card itself comes with a copy of the game too, so if you're upgrading to an RX 7700 XT and are a fan of Frostpunk, this is the one to get.

If you are a fan of the game Party Animals, which is available on Steam, there are also some special edition graphics cards featuring art from that game too, although we are told these are primarily for the Chinese market and aren't destined for western shores.

Some specially crafted PC builds can be spotted around the booth, showcasing Sapphire's popular graphics card designs, including the RX 7900 XTX Vapor-X. Sapphire also has some embedded hardware here at the show, including the Edge Plus box, which houses an AMD APU under the hood. These are intended to power digital, interactive displays and the $1500 price tag proves it.

As an AMD partner, Sapphire is well known for its Radeon graphics cards but in the future, we may also begin to see Sapphire motherboards. Sapphire has a B650 Nitro+ Mini-ITX board here on display, as well as a few ATX 3.0 power supplies. Sapphire motherboards have been available in limited areas over the years but perhaps we'll start to see them more widely available in the future.

KitGuru Says: What do you all think of Sapphire's showing at Computex this year? Would you like to see more Sapphire hardware sold worldwide, along with more special edition graphics cards?
