Most publishers announce their PC system requirements for new games around two weeks before release. CD Projekt Red has decided to unveil this information much earlier than usual, with minimum and recommended PC system requirements being shared this evening as part of today's episode of Night City Wire.
Today's Night City Wire brings us a tour of Night City, a deeper look into the world we'll all be exploring come November 19th. More importantly for this article though, are the forgiving and accessible minimum and recommended PC system requirements.
Here are the minimum requirements:
- OS: Windows 7 64-bit or Windows 10 64-bit.
- CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K or AMD FX-8310.
- RAM: 8GB.
- GPU: Nvidia GTX 780 or AMD Radeon RX 470.
- Storage: 70GB (SSD recommended).
And here are the recommended system requirements:
- OS: 64-bit Windows 10.
- CPU: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 3 3200G.
- RAM: 12GB.
- GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon R9 Fury.
- Storage: 70GB (SSD recommended).
The system requirements don't mention what resolutions these specs target, but we can assume 720p for the minimum and 1080p for the recommended. You will still need some significant hardware to run this game with maximum settings at a high resolution like 4K – especially if you opt to use ray-tracing, which will be supported.
KitGuru Says: Cyberpunk 2077 is not far off at this point. Are many of you planning to play it at release? How do you feel about the minimum and recommended system requirements?
